Wisconsin Air National Guard

Mai-Linh Schuh

My name is Mai-Linh Schuh. I served the Wisconsin Air National Guard (ANG) from March 2012-2019 and had the opportunity to serve at all three Wisconsin ANG bases as a search and extrication medic and FOMT [flight and operational medical technician]. I did my undergraduate in nursing at Marquette’s BSN program and had graduated as the 2018 Beren’s award winner for top nursing student graduate as voted on by staff. From there I’ve working at St. Luke’s Surgical ICU and have been doing my doctorates program. For hobbies I have started to really be into outdoor activities like boating, fishing, etc. I’ve always snowmobiled growing up but had the opportunity to become an ambassador for All American Heroes foundation and won their 2021 snowmobile. I help bring awareness of backcountry snowmobiling and avalanche safety to veterans and first responders. Through this opportunity I’ve also had the privilege to become an ambassador for Mountain Skillz snowmobiling riding clinics based out of South Fork, Colorado and travel there every winter break. My experience of being an Air Force medic and leader directly helps aid in clinics and teaching avy [avalanche] safety and emergency response. My military career has been able to help my professional and personal life passions, and for that I’m entirely grateful.
