Natalie Isensee

Natalie Isensee served as a Marine Corps Logistics Officer on active duty, deploying to Kuwait and serving in the U.S ground invasion of Iraq in 2003. Her responsibilities included organizing movements of combat support vehicles and equipment, coordinating airfield operations, and monitoring supply chains for food, Forward Operating Base supplies, and weapons and ammunition. Later, as Battalion Logistics Officer, 1st Medical Battalion, Camp Pendleton, Natalie met the transportation, weapons, and housing needs of hundreds of reserve medical personnel during their activation to overseas service.

With a background in project management, people leadership, and IT infrastructure Natalie is now the Manager of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) at WPS Health Solutions where she leads a team of DEI professionals as they embed DEI into behaviors, systems, and the company’s culture. Serving military veterans and their family members is a key aspect of their DEI strategy, as WPS seeks to be an employer of choice and a committed health care partner for military service members, Veterans, their families, and communities.

Natalie leads efforts to improve the employee experience and leadership development activities across the enterprise. Natalie served as the Vice President of the Veterans Employee Resource Group promoting mental and physical wellness through its events, communications, and trainings.

Natalie is active in the Veteran community around Madison, Wisconsin, with current leadership roles as Community Engagement Coordinator for Team Red, White, and Blue’s Madison Chapter (Team RWB Madison); Board member for the Veterans Community Action Network of South-Central Wisconsin (VETSCAN); and member of the Dane County Veterans Service Commission. Previous volunteer roles include collecting oral history interviews for the Wisconsin Veterans Museum and serving as a Girl Scout Troop Leader. Additionally, she enjoys organizing groups of co-workers, veterans, and family to volunteer at The River Food Pantry in Madison, Wisconsin

Natalie’s contributions to business, Veterans, and families in our communities were recognized by her selection for the Milwaukee Business Journal’s Veterans in Business award (large company) in Wisconsin in 2021. In 2022, Natalie was appointed to Governor Evers’ Blue Ribbon Commission on Veterans Opportunity, chartered to develop a long-term, comprehensive plan to help Wisconsin veterans get help they need to meet a wide range of challenges they may face after transitioning from military service to civilian life.

She has a bachelor’s degree in History from UW-Madison, master’s degree in project management from UW-Platteville, Project Management Professional certification, Professional Scrum Master certification, and a certificate in Servant Leadership from UW-Madison.

When not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their three daughters, training for long-distance running events, and reading history books and memoirs.
