United States Air Force | Air National Guard

Anthony Fenner

I have served in both the Active Duty Air Force and the Air National Guard for a combined total of 19 years. I will be retiring at the rank of E-7. I joined shortly after 9/11 and spent most of my career working in CBRN/Emergency Management. I was the Emergency Manager for the Western Air Defense Sector from 2012-2018. I served under the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) for 11 years.

I attended College while on active duty and completed my degree in Psychology at Saint Martin’s University. I later went on to complete a BS in Information Science at UW-Milwaukee. I am currently a graduate student here at UW-Madison in the MS – Information program.

I am currently fulfilling my dream of becoming a software engineer. I was promoted earlier this year to Senior Software Engineer at Centene. I have a lifetime of coding experience, but most recently I’ve been working as just a software engineer for about five years. My next goal is to become a manager of software engineers.

I have a goal to be a successful Twitch streamer. I’d like to make learning software engineering as free as learning to paint or draw. I consider coding to be an art, and most often find myself using soft-skills to increase the quality of my products.
