Jessica Dean was born in Slinger, WI in 1988. After graduating high school, she attended the University of Wisconsin-Washington County where she worked on her general education requirements. In 2008, she enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served five years on Active Duty where she achieved the rank of Corporal. Her primary duty was a Radio Repairman in which she repaired communication assets for the Marine Corps. Her duty stations included Marine Corps Communications Electronics School in 29 Palms, CA and Marine Wing Communications Squadron in Miramar, CA. After separating from the Marine Corps in 2012, Jessica moved to Northern Virginia with her husband who continued service in the Marine Corps, and continued her education earning her Associate of Science Degree from Northern Virginia Community College in Woodbridge, VA and Bachelor of Science in Biology Degree from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. Following her husband’s retirement from the Marine Corps, Jessica and her family moved to Whitewater, WI. Jessica has three stepchildren, two that are currently serving in the Marine Corps, while the youngest attends Whitewater High School. She is a member of the Whitewater American Legion, the Walworth County Marine Corps League, she serves on Congressman Bryan Steil’s Veteran Advisory Board, and she participated in the VA’s I Am Not Invisible Campaign 3.0 that brings awareness to women veterans and the challenges they face. Jessica is currently in her first year of Veterinary Medical School working towards her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian.
