Biography Bob serves as a Veterans Services Coordinator. Most of his career has been in higher education, including a six-year stint as an academic advisor for active-duty sailors and veterans at Naval Station Great Lakes. He has an MA and BA in history, with a special emphasis on the American Civil War.

Biography Mike joined University Veteran Services in January of 2022 after a successful career in the Army. He found Madison while on orders to UW to receive an advanced degree in Russian, East European and Central Asian Studies and chose to return with his family after retiring from active duty.

Joe Rasmussen serves as the Director of University Veteran Services. He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving on active duty from 2002-2006. Joe earned his Master of Social Work from UW–Madison and his Bachelor of Social Work from UW–Whitewater.

Biography Kaitlyn serves as a Veteran Services Coordinator in the University Veteran Services office. While earning her B.S. in Economics and Spanish at UW-Madison, she actively participated in several student organizations that fostered community and support for various student groups.
