Veterans Networking Reception

In conjunction with the Spring Career Fair,  we will be hosting employers who are specifically looking to speak with UW student-veterans for jobs, internships, and networking opportunities. Last semester, over 30 companies were in attendance.

All academic majors and class levels welcome. Stay for the whole time, or just stop by between classes.

Veteran Services & Military Assistance Welcome Event
Room 11301, 333 East Campus Mall
Free pizza and soda. Meet with on campus tutoring services, complete FAFSA with Fin Aid, talk with VA Hospital Rep., and meet other student-veterans.

September 22, 1:30-3:00pm

Veteran-Employers Networking Reception
Room 11301, 333 East Campus Mall
Bring your resume and meet with employers specifically looking to recruit UW-Madison veterans for internships and employment.

VETS Social Meet and Greet
Room 3136, 333 East Campus Mall
New and returning students, come meet other UW student-veterans and enjoy camaraderie in a casual setting.

September 2, 4:30–6:30 p.m.

Veteran Services and Military Assistance Center Open House
Room 10301, 333 East Campus Mall
Learn what support services are available both on and off campus. VETS Office will also be open on the 3rd floor. Free pizza and soda. 

September 10, 5:30–6:30 p.m.

VETS Meeting
Room 3136, 333 East Campus Mall
Help plan activities for the year, meet other student-veterans. Pizza and soda provided.

September 11, 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

VETS Flag Display
Bascom Hill
VETS and VSMAC put U.S. flags on Bascom Hill to commemorate 9/11 attacks.

Veteran and Empower Networking Reception

Approximately 50 employers will be present to talk with UW student-veterans seeking internships and employment. Social setting; bring resume. A list of employers is provided at check-in. Campuswide Career Fair follows from 4–8 p.m. at the Kohl Center.

Veterans Day Display
Bascom Hill
VETS and VSMAC set up U.S. and service flags on Bascom Hill to honor U.S. military veterans. Names of OIF and OEF KIA will be read continuously throughout the day.
